Affiliate Disclosure
The short version
Some pages on PC Error Codes link to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. PC Error Codes is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Where the links appear
Affiliate links appear in one place only: a box labelled Replacement Picks at the side of the page. A page gets that box only when the fix it describes honestly ends with replacing a part that has failed, such as a dead Bluetooth mouse or a faulty memory stick. The links never appear inside a fix sequence, and the free steps always come first. Most pages on this site have no affiliate links at all.
How the products are chosen
Each product is checked against its real Amazon listing before it is linked, and it is the standard replacement for the part the page is about. No maker pays for a placement, no ranking on this site is for sale, and a product earns its place by fitting the fix, not by what it pays.
Prices
This site prints no prices for linked products, because prices change. The price shown on Amazon when you check out is the price that applies, whatever any page here said before you clicked.
What it costs you
Nothing extra. The price you pay on Amazon is the same whether you arrive through a link here or go there directly. The commission comes out of Amazon's side, not yours.
